CAMBRIDGE, MA — NOVEMBER 17,
2009 — MetaCarta, Inc., the leading provider of geographic search solutions, today announced
the promotion of Ken Tomaselli to vice president of sales. In this role, he
will oversee both commercial and public sector sales activities for the
company.
Previously as vice president
of public sector for MetaCarta, Tomaselli was responsible for all sales,
business development and field activities within the public sector and
intelligence communities. In this role, he right sized the sales organization,
growing the business by approximately 40 percent.

“Given his track record for increasing business in the public sector and his relationship

Tomaselli has over 20 years
of sales experience with a strong track record in government sales and business
development. He joined MetaCarta in 2008 from 3PAR Government Systems where he
served as Director of Federal Operations. Tomaselli has also held senior sales
and management positions at Symantec Software Corporation, Veritas Software
Corporation, Edgemark Systems, Frame Technology (purchased by Adobe Systems)
and Xerox Imaging Systems. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the University
of Maryland College Park.
