Cambridge, MA - September 18, 2006 - MetaCarta®, Inc., a leading provider of geographic intelligence solutions, today announced that the MetaCarta GTS Documentum Connector has received the “Designed for EMC Documentum” logo designation, a mark of quality and value that customers insist on in enterprise applications. The “Designed for EMC Documentum” accreditation demonstrates that the GTS Documentum Connector has successfully met a comprehensive set of criteria for good design, development and implementation.
MetaCarta’s unique technology combines traditional text or keyword search with powerful geographic search so EMC Documentum users can map, categorize, and search documents based on geography. “MetaCarta is extremely pleased to join the EMC Documentum Application Developer Program, and we are proud to have attained the ‘Designed for EMC Documentum’ status for the GTS Documentum Connector,” said Claudine Bianchi, vice president of marketing for MetaCarta. “Location intelligence offers an opportunity for businesses to find new ways to compete and become more effective. Location intelligence can improve operations common to many industries, such as human resources, real estate planning, combining information from disparate data resources resulting from a merger or acquisition and the development of marketing or sales campaigns. In terms of business processes, location can add critical input to supply chain management, whether it’s the procure-to-pay interaction with suppliers or the order-to-fulfillment relation with customers. And last but not least, location plays a huge role in first responders and disaster response.”
The EMC Documentum Application Developer Program helps ISVs, VSPs and SIs target, design, develop and go-to-market with successful offerings based on the EMC Documentum platform. As a member, partners can submit their offering to be considered for “Designed for EMC Documentum ” accreditation, which ensures their offering has met all requirements to be certified on the Documentum platform.
