Products > MetaCarta GSRP > Core Function:  Document Density

Summary

The MetaCarta Document Density function allows users to see the distribution of an entire geographic search result.  Document density helps direct investigation by enabling users to quickly identify trends and ‘hotspots’ of information.

This function is especially important when trying to find content that does not explicitly mention a name of a location within an intended search extent.  For example, a document that mentions “5 miles East of Waltham”, but does not explicitly say "Arlington, MA", would not appear in a traditional text search.
